Dum Dum Lollipops were first made by Akron Candy Co., in Bellevue, Ohio in 1924 and the name comes the sound that every child would be able to say and remember dum dum.

The photo is a retro candy advertisement for Dum Dum Lollipops Circa 1953 and, in case you are wondering, there are about sixty (60) lollipops per pound and each one if certified OU Kosher and, as the box says, ” free of major allergens.”
