La Flor del Caf comes from the heart of Antigua. Samples are drawn of all the years delivered coffee and lots are chosen to prepare for shipment. The coffee that is selected is the absolute cream of the crop. Then, when it is time for shipment, the quality control team flies from Costa Rica to Guatemala where they supervise the preparation of the coffee.
The goal is to not only supply the coffee from the best possible raw material, but to also ensure that it conforms to the usual standard of preparation set forth by La Minita. La Flor del Caf is a classic Antigua, it has lively acidity, a heavy body and flavors of chocolate, caramel and a smoky rum.
