Heres a little snippet from Alexandre Dumas classic novel with which you may or may not be familiar: One fine evening, the 3 Musketeers, bored with their swashbuckling lifestyle. Their means of doing so seemed highly implausible, of course, as they aimed to employ all sorts of anachronistic space crafts and aeronautical engines, so we neednt bother getting into nit-picky details. Just take our word for it — at this point in the story, the Musketeers are now on board a rocket ship.

As they whizzed past Mars, they happened to run into an alien with a funny accent. He looked at them earnestly, eying their fancy clothes and rapiers, and asked, “Can you show me some neat sword Twix?” The Musketeers glanced at each other, their Snickers were audible. But after seeing his distraught demeanor, they decided to make it up to him by demonstrating some showy swordplay. And the alien was so impressed, he decided to act as their tour guide to the center of the galaxy.
