Goobers were created by the same company who brought Sno-Caps into the candy world. In 1925, the company introduced the first chocolate covered peanut which they named Goobers: a nickname for peanuts in North Carolina where the creators originated.

This simple candy is both basic in form with only peanuts and chocolate, and simply delicious and, sadly, was permanently discontinued in 2013
