Cooking Instructions

For Crumbled Ground Beef

2. Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon.

3. Cook for 7-9 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Be careful not to overcook, as it can dry out.

4. Drain any excess liquid or fat. Season to taste.

For Patties

1. Gently form ground beef into patties (about 1/2-inch thick). Season both sides with salt and pepper.

2. Cook on a preheated grill or in a pan over medium-high heat for 4-6 minutes per side.

3. Cook until a safe internal temperature of 160F (71C) is reached. Avoid pressing down on the patties to keep them juicy.

4. Let patties rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Member’s Mark 90/10 Ground Beef
  • 1 jar (15 to 16 oz.) cheese dip with salsa (salsa con queso) or other cheese dip
  • 1/2 cup thick-and-chunky mild or medium salsa
  • Toppings (optional): Blue, yellow, and/or white corn tortilla chips, diced red bell pepper, thinly sliced green onions, sliced ripe olives

Directions

1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Add ground beef and cook for 7 to 9 minutes, breaking it into 3/4-inch crumbles and stirring occasionally, until browned. Be careful not to overcook the leaner beef. Add cheese dip and salsa, then cook and stir for about 3 minutes until heated through.

2. Ensure the ground beef reaches an internal temperature of 160F (71C) for safe consumption.

3. Pour the beef mixture into a shallow serving dish and serve with tortilla chips for dipping. Garnish with toppings as desired.
